No grape travels further and reinvents itself more completely than Chardonnay. In Chablis it is pure, mineral, almost severe — Kimmeridgian limestone shaped over millennia giving it that characteristic flinty coolness. In the Côte d'Or it becomes something richer, more layered, with the complexity that comes from great terroir and careful élevage. In Napa it opens into sun-warmed opulence. And yet throughout all these transformations, it remains identifiably, unmistakably itself. Blending In captures this rare quality — the woman who adapts to every room without ever losing the thread of who she is. She does not try. She simply is.

Every WiWwaW portrait begins not with a canvas or a lens but with a moodboard — a private, intuitive assembly of words, colours, textures and images that together form the wine's character translated into a woman. The moodboard for Blending In travels with the finished work to its collector: a window into the creative process, a second layer of the work itself.

"He doesn't make artworks. He creates encounters."
